CLASS OF 2024
Yushi Liao
“My time at ICS shaped me in ways I’m still discovering today. It was here that I began to truly understand what it means to walk with Christ—not just through Bonfires or Bible classes, but through teachers and friends who modeled grace, patience, and curiosity about faith. That foundation keeps me rooted as I navigate university life and seek out Christian communities here in Hong Kong.
ICS also taught me that service isn’t just an idea—it’s action. Participating in Week Without Walls showed me how powerful it is to step outside my comfort zone and work alongside others to make a difference. Now, as I study materials engineering, I ask: How can I use this knowledge to serve people? Whether through sustainability projects with Engineers Without Borders or simply being present where there’s need, I want my skills to reflect the same heart for service that ICS first ignited in me.”
