Rowan

“I remember my English teacher, Mrs. Gwartney, asking us to complete the phrase, 'Life is like...' I've never forgotten or stopped living by the phrase that came to me. I completed the sentence with, 'Life is like photographs in a fire.'

The explanation behind this is that we are always trying to capture and immortalize moments in our lives, but in our short time on Earth, everything shall return to dust. We have to cherish the now and not live hidden behind a viewfinder, trying to capture what is out of our control. ICS provided my spiritual foundation and the lesson that we are all stronger together."

Credentials

• One of the early ICS graduates from the Mount Faber Road campus.

• Attended the University of Otago in New Zealand.

• Has worked in the North Sea, the Middle East, and South-East Asia on large construction works.

• Currently a Technical Sales Engineer at the Atlas Copco Group, which specializes in Industrial plant. His role involves managing Oil Injected Rotary Screw Compressors and N2 and O2 generators.

Rowan

Rowan graduated from ICS when the campus was located at Mount Faber. He attended the University of Otago in New Zealand to study Biology and Psychology. He has worked in the North Sea, the Middle East, and South-East Asia on large construction works.

Today, he is a Technical Sales Engineer at the Atlas Copco Group, which specialize in Industrial plant. His role involves managing Oil Injected Rotary Screw Compressors and N2 and O2 generators. He enjoys the outdoors and is still hunting and fishing whenever he gets a chance.
